Communications and Media
Use your communication skills or media contacts to further LHON awareness and bring more attention to community needs. Develop content for LHON on various social media platforms.
Community Outreach and Engagement
Act as a resource to LHON families, including newly diagnosed families, by guiding them to information or programs of potential interest. Identify and bring together community members passionate about the same areas of need.
Events
Assist with planning, promotion, and implementation of events such as conferences and meetings, family gatherings, virtual meetups, and fundraising events.
Fundraising
Develop, support, and implement fundraising activities and initiatives.
Graphic Design
Design and develop graphic material to use for LHON Collective activities such as events, educational materials, and social media.
Medical/Science Education
Attend meetings, read medical articles and help develop educational materials for the LHON community to explain the science of LHON and on-going scientific and medical developments.
Program Ambassador
Guide others in the community, leveraging knowledge about a specific area or program. Develop and share specific expertise, resources and connections.
Technology
Deploy and support software applications used by LHON Collective including website and contact management.
Writing
Expand our scientific and non-scientific educational resources including newsletters, emails, informational guides, handouts and web content.
